KOM is in the books and the Get Dirty Dirt Bike Team had some great results. This Two-Day Event starts on Friday with a prolog too determine starting positions on Saturday. Katie Hall-Leah our women's Pro rider finished the day in first, Erin Foley our women's amateur rider finished in second, our guest rider from Germany, Lutz Stiebritz racing in the 60+ master's class finished first, and our Vet A rider, David Craig finished 10th in this highly competitive class. Justin Mederios won the four-stroke class and our guest rider from Australia Jack Mildwaters finished day one in the top 15 in his first ever Hard Enduro Race. Unfortunately our second guest rider from Germany Chris Hoffman suffered a torn rotator cuff muscle and had to retire.
The results from day one put everybody in a great position to start the Main Event on Saturday. Katie again put in a great performance and led the entire race in Women's Pro, Erin not to be outdone grabbed the lead in Women's Amateur class and took the win. Justin won the four-stroke class, David improved his position to 8th overall in Vet A, and Lutz finished 2nd in 60+ master's after missing a turn and adding three miles to his race. Jack finished his first ever hard enduro race in 11th place.
It was great to put four bikes on the podium in the first race of the year, the bikes ran great all weekend.
